~Like I have said before, I am only 13 so I'm not a dance expert. I still so much more to learn about the art of dance. I wanted to talk about my first time doing a solo on stage in front of a whole audience and judges (I know right scary). I started doing solos when I was seven years old, and I have done one ever since. I get nervous every time I have to go on stage. There was this one time when I was at a dance competition and I was going on stage to perform my solo. I got half way through the dance then I just froze. I couldn't do anything I was just standing on stage doing nothing. Eventually I found a spot in my music and I finished the dance and scored a high gold. I learned from that mistake that yes I'm in front of judges, but my mom always tells me to do the best I can and that's all she can ever ask for. She also says that it takes a lot just to step out on the stage so she is just proud that I do that. Also everything time that I get nervous I tell myself that the judges are they to make me better and give me pointers on what I can do better on next time I perform it. That was my experience of forgetting my solo, and I know that is anybody’s worst fear is to miss up or forget a dance on stage, but remember that every makes mistakes and that no one is perfect. I know a lot of people are afraid to do a solo because they are scared and I understand but when you get done and get off the stage I just get this great feeling like I accomplished something that I really enjoy doing.
